Regarding that second possibility, let’s do a hypothetical: What would folks here have posted if photos had come out yesterday of Ted Cruz attending the Selma event? What would you folks’ comment on such a photo have been?

Because to you and your party it’s all win-lose, zero sum game. OMG we can’t show civility to our President! We can’t honor those who fought and died for civil rights for our own citizens - how would that LOOK?!
