Given how parties have sometimes been burned by officeholders, I can see a case for loyalty oaths.

If all we are going to do is elect robots who are programmed to support or reject any piece of legislation based on the litmus test we used to elect them, then why even elect people at all. Save all the costs and just “elect” the checksheet.
