re: #191 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))

Somebody pointed out the stark contrast between the people we were busting ten years ago for selling cannabis and the people we are granting sales licenses to now…

To live in the south-east of the US is to understand the impact of marijuana prohibition. I had the fortunate experience to grow up in California in the 70s. I first smoked pot in 1970. Other than 10 formative years of my kids I smoked pretty much every day. A few of the later years of my daughters youth I said, “Fuck it, there’s no difference between my stoned years and my straight years”, so I started smoking weed again. I just hid it, but around my youngest 17th year I told them. Now we have marijuana delivery and my youngest daughter got me to switch to the service over my black market sources.

Of course the richer connected people are the ones with the power to put together a proper application qualifications for a business over some dumb stoner whose mom died and left him a a small estate of $300k. It’s capitalism. you don’t back losers or the economy suffers.

Was that coherent? I have a hard time explaining my thinking. I think in parallel which makes it hard to create a single thread of my thoughts.
