4) AGW is real and bad, and we should do something about it, but I can’t get on board because meanie liberals are making it a “political football”.

I’m stuck on number 4 although it isn’t just the libs who are making it into a political football. The NIMBYs, those who profit from the status quo, those who are invested in old technology, etc are all culpable.

Those who would use this conundrum for personal and political gain (Yes you Al Gore) are doing damage just as those who fear competition from new technologies (Yes you GM) are clearly putting politics over sense.

Even on a local level I couldn’t even put a solar panel on my roof if I could afford to because the NIMBYs in my home owners association don’t want them.

Grrrr…
