I don’t think I’d call Huntsman a wingnut. If he was a wingnut, he wouldn’t have taken that ambassadorship. Plus he’s said some things which would not sit well with right-wing Christians (e.g., about creationism). And he like s Captain Beefheart’s Trout Mask Replica. He can’t be all bad.

PS He was also a halfway decent governor of Utah and loosened up the liquor laws a bit to the point where the wingnutty legislature tightened them up again after he left.

Huntsman was the only plausible GOP threat to Obama in 2010. Fortunately, the TPGOP antibodies eliminated him.
