which is that industrial labor continues to get outsourced to places where the wages and workplace protection is lower, until the workers in that place begin to become more prosperous and picky, at which time their jobs get outsourced to yet another country that is less lucky

europe->usa->japan->s.korea->vietnam->???

and this process might continue until every country in the world, no matter how out of the way and godforsaken, has been visited with the industrial revolution and become almost middle class

and meanwhile the united states has been sucked dry of mid level jobs and become a third world hellhole - making it a perfect place to outsource industrial jobs to!
