re: #190 Anymouse š¹
They do seem to be suffering from āmission creep.ā As I originally understood the first womenās march, it was simply about not allowing the new conservative cruelty to roll over gains women have made in establishing their rightful equal place in society and control over their own lives.
Now all of a sudden it appears they are adding stuff that piles on and obscures that original simple message of āWe will not be silenced and our rights will be respected.ā
The defense of Louis Farrakhan seems bizarre to me. Heās long been an anti-Semite (his denials in the last couple days notwithstanding). Any support for the Womenās March I had is rapidly evaporating. (That is not to say I am now opposed to the original goals, I most certainly support them. People like Mr. Farrakhan are not the people to convey that message.)
I support the Womenās March 100 percent, I just donāt think it has a whole lot to do with these so called āleadersā. A lot of women I know who attend the TX marches donāt even know who these women are.
We are closer to the ground here. As I am sure they are in other states as well.
