Yes, one thing that is happening is that we are wanting the stimuli to come at us faster.

I too find some movies or TV shows just too slow. Years ago perhaps I would sit and watch them. But now I don’t have the patience.

I don’t know if this is caused by, or simply concurrent with, our trends in “news” and the near-instantaneous transfer of information around the world.
