You know, the longer all this fuss over Park 51 goes on, I notice fewer and fewer attention paid to it. I think Jones’ little stunt last week soured a lot of folks on the whole subject, as they came to the realization that much of what’s driving all the “outrage” is pure, unleaded Islamophobia. I’m beginning to think the best solution to this whole mess is simply to wait it out, letting Crazy Pam and the rest of the Bigot Brigade be their own worst enemies. By the beginning of next year, I figure most folks won’t even be willing to admit they ever had an opinion on the whole mess.

Really? I am more inclined to think as time goes on it will lose sensationalism but become entrenched as a major topic of political debate. I guess we shall see.
