Yeah, the bulb’s real cheap. But you’re paying for it in much much higher electric bills and replacement costs for bulbs that don’t last.

CFL doesn’t cost $6+ for a standard 60-75 or even 100 watt equivalent. Maybe $3. And you’ll end up saving the difference within a few months. Over the life of the CFL, you’ll save considerably. Even more if you switch to LED.

But these clueless folks think that incandescents are the cheaper alternative ?

We have an entire generation of entrepreneurs who do not think beyond the short term, the ones who think that exporting jobs to China to import cheap consumer goods is a good thing.
