Brake (or headlamp) lights are great excuses for LEOs to pull over people and see if they can find a bigger fish to fry (i.e., lack of insurance, warrants, drugs, guns, etc.). I was once pulled over in Brevard County for an “inoperable license plate light”….except the light did work, it was just covered in road grime. Even after I wiped it off, he still gave me a ticket.
