I’m not from LA (although I dearly love that city), but even all the way over here on the Other Coast, I’ve been a long-time fan of LA Weekly. They were recently sold to a group who kept their identities secret from employees - and when the new owners took over this week they fired everyone and from the look of it, they’re turning into another right-wing rag.

This tweetstorm makes me very sad.

If everything becomes a right wing rag, how are we ever to learn the truth? We are fast moving into totalitarian regime territory.
