As in most things, it’s about finishing. A lot of people have ideas for books. Stephen King finishes. Lots of people can play instruments. A few write songs, put them together, and do all the work such as performing and touring and promoting.

Yeah, the “soft skills” of being able to convince people to follow your lead, or to coexist in a group, sharing a common purpose, are grossly underestimated.

Even an absolute musical genius like Prince, who could be a domineering dictator, would have his moments when he could be warm, loving and giving.
