This sentence was in the BBC report:

There are fears that the killing could heighten tensions between the Israeli cabinet and the Palestinians.

The problem, in their minds, is the dangerous Israeli cabinet. Not the Palestinian thugs who perpetrate & applaud this barbarism. No, it’s that the Israelis might do something to defend their own people from this ongoing evil.
