It may have been said before, but this reminds me of how glad I am that we are a Republic of States rather than a straight Democracy.

God forbid DC is taken off-line with some horrendous device, but the fact that we have working (and capable) State Government systems in place is the check against complete societal break down.

We can always re-elect new Federal tools to screw up our lives.

Of course, I’ve been wrong before… and I’m reminded that 50% of this nation thinks that the Feds are the only form of Government that we have. Sadness.

Well, I’m off to the bulk food/ammo stores now… lol
