Evening lizards.

When I moved to Virginia from Connecticut back in 1990 I was labeled a Damn Yankee. The locals gave me a hard time telling me how the South won the Civil War and the history books were wrong. I felt like I had moved to a different country. Down here I and all the other northerners who moved here are the enemy. Up north we learned about the Civil War in history class then moved on. They are still fighting the war down here.

As far as their politics go, it’s been my observation that they have no idea about who is running, who is in, and what the issues, forget about asking them who the politicians are. Ask who won the wrestling match on Monday night and you will get a play-by-play of the action, ask who the VP & Secretary of State are and you get a blank stare.

This is Virginia…I can imagine it must be worse the further south you go.

:( Wow. Oregon and Washington sound like a completely different planet.

You know who watches wrestling in the northwest? Kids, disabled people, and dirtbag types who know the meaning of “kayfabe” who were fans of Roddy Piper back in the day, because he lives here. :D
