When Michelle Obama made it her signature issue. Then the Wingnut Dictum kicked in: Anything the Obamas want is evil and must be opposed because they are evil.

I guess when people are that intellectually lazy, it’s just much easier to reflexively hate rather than employ any kind of critical thinking.
