What turned the situation tragic was Dunn’s overweening self-importance and his racism. A sensible person with a CCW would have told the kids off and left it at that, but Dunn has an ego so huge that in his mind he was justified in using force to get his way. Dunn is also racist enough to assume any major movements by black teenagers could only be an attack in a situation like this.

So no, Lumberhead, if you’d had a gun this still would not have happened. You’re not the sort of racist egomaniac who would shoot a black teen dead because you didn’t like his music.
