Southern Utah is called Dixie. St. George, UT has Dixie State University. There’s a Dixie National Forest. It’s not entirely accidental.

I knew that Utah had some limited support for the Confederacy back in the Great War of Northern Aggression, but I thought the mainstream was pretty non-Confederate. Looks like the influence of the Confederacy has grown since then.
