The weirdest thing about being alive today is how many people really seem to believe life is really just like an action movie. All the hero’s bullets hit and they always insta-kill, and all the Bad Guys wear black hats and graduated at the bottom of Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy.

I’ve read comic books for decades, and I’m still not convinced I can pick up a battleship or shoot lasers from my eyes. I must not be living right.

And any time a good guy gets shot, it’s just a flesh wound.
