What casts “blame” upon the entire Church is the complete and utter failure of the Church leaders to deal with the issue!

Why, oh why, don’t they get it?

They are looking at all of this as an attack on priests. It is not, unless the Church refuses to deal strongly with the abusers. Which the Church has refused to do.

The folks who are really hurting in all of this aren’t the leadership, the Pope, it’s first, the victims, and second, your every-day run-of-the-mill Catholic, like myself.

Major ugh all the way around.
