I’m going to go the extra step and say that The Republican Party has become a Christian version of the Muslim Brotherhood.

I wouldn’t go as far to say that it’s the whole party. Though there are definitely theocratic segments who are after the same sort of goals, namely a a particular type of Christian oriented governance system.
