You’ve got to admit it’s newsworthy. First of all, when was the last time you heard of a woman murdering a child who wasn’t her own or in her care? Second, a Sunday school teacher? It’s unexpected and therefore interesting. If she’d been a scout leader, they would have mentioned that.

I think she is the granddaughter of the minister of that church, and lived with her grandfather. I think that was her “job” - so it did not seem unreasonable to me to describe her that way.

She has apparently had some mental problems prior to this.
