hmmmm….(just a contrarian note, in support of the U.S. system — would you prefer, say, a parlimentary system in which there is all sorts of reported and known corruption/cronyism/cover-ups, yet nothing whatsoever is done about it? all just swept under the rug and forgotten…in other words, at least in the U.S. —say Teapot Dome
Scandal, etc, people are indicted, go to court, and the guilty are convicted and go to jail…unlike some other nation-states, whereby the guilty get off scott-free and celebrate their criminal behavior…(of course, it’s not a perfect system…but i think it’s one of the best, given all the others…)
