Some who espouse the banning of guns are convinced that anyone who supports the 2nd Amendment, or owns firearms, target shoots or hunts… is an unpredictable, murderous animal who will use their firearms in revenge for any perceived slight. The objects themselves are “demonic” - possessed of an evil will of their own and able to create violence… and that no-one should even talk about them let alone touch them (especially children!) or learn how to use them for personal protection.

This is a true phobia. I bet the professor later worked herself into a panic attack and was afraid the student might “get” her with his guns, then called the Police.

I think the professor is in need of a psychological evaluation.
