I have bad luck with James Cameron films.

I saw Titanic with a girlfriend of mine back when it came out. It was a bad sign when she’d gone to see it seven times before taking me with her. We got there halfway through the previews and ended up at the back of the theater jammed into a corner. I had a bunch of people to my left all mouthing along with the film word for word and crying over Rose and Jack. Worse, I figured out the “plot twist” before Kate Winslet was ever on camera. It was torture. Three hours of waiting for Leo DiCaprio to die and for the old woman to have the necklace all along. ARGH.

I saw Avatar in 3D. Aside from the shitty, obvious plot and terrible dialogue, that movie gave me simulation sickness. I literally felt like I was going to die. I was so sick walking out of the theater. It was awful.

Never again. James Cameron will have to pay me to see his movies.
