It’s like, I’m against anti-Holocaust-denial laws because I feel that a state controlling the historical discourse is, on balance, more dangerous.

But I do feel that propaganda *does* work, so those striving for an ethnic/racial strife should be punished.

Certainly in Europe. I used to feel that the 1st Amdt. should stay as it is in the US. Now? Not so much.

(And again, I fully respect - and understand - the opinions of those who disagree on this point.)
