The media avoided asking questions before the election. Obama purposefully lied and obfuscated the truth to get elected by minimizing his Muslim heritage. The Administration is now suddenly inflating or proffering the fact that he’s got Muslim roots. Yeah, this stinks to high heaven, and the media failed the American people in a big way. This is going to give all those birthers and others who question Obama’s legitimacy as President more kindling for their theories.

Hey Lawhawk, set the clock back a few years and forget Obama for a second. Hypothetical question: If Big Arnold or someone similar, who was not born in the USA and thus technically not qualified, attempted to bluster his way through, develop a groundswell of popularity, and run for President anyway, WHOSE JOB IS IT TO TELL HIM ‘NO’? Where would the responsibilities lie, in a matter such as this? Which branch — legislative, executive, or judicial? (Probably legislative?) What’s the procedure? Who calls the shots? Whose job is it to enforce the Constitution up-front, in all matters pertaining to it?

In all the hoo-rah over the past year or so, I never really saw the answer to that question. The grand ol’ USA was in pretty good shape 100 years ago, when sticking to the Constitution was the thing to do.
