At first I tried to keep the little filter clean in our cat fountain. Pointless, way too small. Besides, was not gonna put goldfish in there anyway. So we tossed the filter and we clean the fountain each time we replace the co located kitty grass. Maybe weekly. Pepper must have her greens or we have tummy troubles. Found that out fast after the new anti cat restrictions went in.
