“Finlandia” is great, but I think it’s taken.

There’s another great tune that, although it’s a more or less de facto national anthem, isn’t the official one, so maybe we could steal it: “Waltzing Matilda.” Unlike “The Star-Spangled Banner,” it’s pleasant to listen to and as easy to sing as “Happy Birthday.” Plus there’s not an ounce of nationalism or militarism in it, so that, among other things, abominations like fighter-jet flyovers at the start of sporting events would become so ridiculous as to vanish overnight.
