I think it’s safe to say that there’s probably a lot of tension behind the scenes. Ryan got brought on more as a concession to the wingnut base than anything else. And he’s been visibly miffed at being held back by campaign handlers. Won’t be surprised, when the tell-all books come out starting next year, to hear that the two of them hated each others guts behind the curtains.
