So you should avoid it. Good for you for understanding that…there are other soups out there with even less sodium, right?

There are 2-3 “no added salt” soups available in the health aisle, but that is it. I used to live in a country where there was a whole aisle of tasty soups that came in around 20% of my daily intake per can. That is why I know it is possible.

And exceeding the RDA is even less relevant for a kid, unless they have a very very specific condition. Kids aren’t hypertensive (well, the highly obese kids are developing some troubling symptoms early in life, but that ain’t about sodium).

So using your “it’s proportional” argument, you wouldn’t see a problem serving your child three meals a day containing the salt of the chicken noodle soup above?
