I’m all for letting China have a crack at it.

They’re too smart. They know their history much better than American political operatives know Asia’s history.

Bottom line: We can’t unscramble a scrambled egg. Meaning we can’t fix what went wrong at the end of the British Empire. The people in that part of the world have to sort this one out for themselves.

We don’t even agree with or like our approved Afghani government.

We just think we hate the Taliban more because the Taliban were in control of Afghanistan when 9/11 happened when what’s his face used Afghanistan as a base of operations. Thus no US President has the option to play footsies with the Taliban.
