Somehow, just somehow, I truly get the feeling that ‘Vice-signaling’ is a more significant problem than ‘Virtue-signaling’. Then again, the former doesn’t get called out because it’s considered part of the ‘default’ in this country, and the default can never be the problem.

“Hey Randolph! Can I call you Randolph? I know that your preferred noun is ‘Candace’ but I really see you as a ‘Randolph’ and I don’t want to be a party to your delusion that you are really a ‘Candace.’

“You don’t like that? Well, you do that. Are you saying you’re a hypocrite? Because I can call you ‘Hypocrite’ rather than ‘Candace’ as well. Would that be better? It would be more descriptive.

“And since ‘Randolph’ is generally a male-gendered name, my pronouns for you will henceforth be “he, him, his” because you’re really ‘Randolph’ and not your delusion of ‘Candace.’”

Or you know, you could quit being a douchecanoe and just call people what they want to be called, instead of the endless grievance-fest which is the core of Movement Conservatism since the founding of the Republic.
