I’m gonna hazard a guess and go with natural gas explosion. We had one here in Czech Republic last summer that do major damage to a residential tower block, though thankfully, there were no fatalities.

Eyeballing it, I would say same level of damage you’ve had in explosions post medium- to long-time leaks in TX, PR etc. Madrid has also had copious (by Madrid standards) amounts of snow (8”-ish) as of late, so either someone went outside the SOAR of the heater, or snow blocked a vital vent and… You do the math…
