I stopped following a few people today who were obsessively tweeting about Lena Dunham and her “sexual abuse.” And I blocked another one who freaked out at me when I posted that Dunham and her sister were children at the time.

There’s a big red streak of prudery in America that always surprises me when it erupts in public, and it’s not a right/left thing. There’s still some kind of weird Puritan mentality that a lot of people have, even the ones who like to front as champions of personal freedom.
