The author was trying to accomplish what every left writer wants to accomplish, making conservatives look bad. France is currently run by a conservative. Over a million people hit the streets on strikes last week, because the government has been cutting back on handouts and social welfare. So, we suddenly get articles like this, designed to make the French government. So, there is a reason behind all of this.

And how much time have you spent in France? How much do you know, first hand about the country?
