A great “what if”. What if the Brits had been able to capture NOLA in 1815. The Treaty of Ghent had been signed but had not been ratified by either Parliament or the US Congress. Would the Brits have just given back the whole Mississippi River to the US?

I think we all know the answer to that question. Just think if the Brits had won ya’ll be speaking English today. heh, heh, now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are.
