A common ailment here in fish country. My family lives very near the Amish sector, and women are expected to be meek and feminine and not “uppity”. It came as somewhat of a shock when I married a beautiful and bold woman of the North. They grow ‘em a little differently up in the wild north country.

I just don’t understand what happened to my friend. She was, when younger, bold and headstrong. Opinionated, and not afraid to share her opinions either. But then she started going to this evangelical church, and after a few years, the bold headstrong woman was replaced by a hateful, yet oddly submissive………..thing.

Truly sad to behold.
