Given time to prepare, Dershowitz is devastating in debate. He’s smarter than most commentators, and his long years as a trial lawyer required him to learn how to do first rate legal research, and he has staff and students who can do so as well. As a result he came into that segment better prepared than his opponents and countered them effectively at every turn.

Legalistically, of course, Dershowitz is absolutely correct. However, Snowgreen and Co are trying to make a moral argument out of it, the same way Robertson is trying to do with his bullshit.
