You do run into some problems here. When the Olympics first started genetic testing of atheletes during the Atlanta Games, they discovered a couple of AIS women…women who have secondary female characteristics (female facial features, voice, breasts and a vaginal canal) but have no actual female reproductive organs and in fact, have an XY chromosome.

Yes, they are technically males although it is utterly insane to really classify them as men. AIS women typically tend to be somewhat tall and thin, and several have had succesful careers as runway models.

Gender can be really, really weird…and people with ambiguous genitals are about one in a thousand, which is enough that it will definitely keep coming up in sports.
