I started out pretty sympathetic to Bernie Sanders, just because I want an alternative to Hillary. Jeebus, do I ever want an alternative to Hillary.

But I really don’t like some of Sanders’ policy positions. He’s very bad on gun control for one thing.

Not really from your point of view, but he doesn’t push gun control because the voters in his state do not want it. Vermont likes guns, and one can buy and carry handguns there without special permits. Also a lot of people there hunt and they are not supportive of laws that limit which rifles they can buy.

It’s well to speak of leadership, but for the most part senators have to “dance with the ones that brung[sic] ‘em.”
