The end of a barrier wall is always a problem.
One of the things that bugs me about Game of Thrones: why don’t the white walkers just walk underwater around the end of the ice wall? It’s not like they have to breathe.

or for that matter, why do the walkers in walking dead eat? they’re dead. it’s not like they need to consume flesh that they can oxidize as fuel.
