Not to sound flippant about the subject, but I sure would not find it depressing to learn in-depth about such times. Better to know what happened to prevent anything like it from ever happening again.

Oh of course. Trust me, I wouldn’t be taking it if I didn’t find the topic fascinating. I’m also taking a class in History of Germany in the 20th Century which I was in today (yesterday, for you people who have actually slept). I figure they’re both going to be emotionally heavy yet very good to learn. The Third Reich class is taught by someone named Saul Friedlander, have any of you guys heard of him?
