Jeepers creepers we pay billions in farm subsidies to grow corn and they’re charging 5 dollars for a dozen ears at the grocer.

The subsidies wind up going to ethanol. I’m all for environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil fuels, but ethanol production eating up all of our corn isn’t terribly wise, either.
