re: #204 rightside

Morning 3 wood, but what of this talk about the recession being nearly at its end?

The definition of “recession” got stretched by the MSM who was so eager to bash Bush, now it’s more of a measure of how the public feels about things rather than hard econometric data.

The melt down has slowed down and that is getting misread as a turn around.

We need to see some GDP growth before the recession is over for 2 consecutive quarters.

That being said, the market tends to lead the econometric data by about 6 months. The recent upturn in the market is seen by some as an early indicator that the economy is improving.

I think the economy has stabilized a bit, but growth is a whole different matter.
