Why is Breitbart stirring the pot to deny something that was confirmed as happening plus the fact that Rep. Lewis has put this incident behind him?

Unless Breitbart thinks that the lack of outrage on Lewis’ part meant the racial slurs never happened, which in itself is another avenue to a racist outlook.
