The actual number of data points is so small and similar for any category that the so called MOE isn’t much different, and when rounded to two significant digits I’m not surprised they come out as something other than what one might think otherwise.

Remember, this whole “margin of error” idea is itself suspect, and depends upon what one considers the “truth”, or true value, if you want to connect your measurements (literally, statistics) with the real universe.

Besides the under-sampling problem, and the non-blind-ness of the data collection, these polls suffer from not having an absolute truth to measure. By which I mean there really are people around today whose choice in a couple of weeks may still change.
