Mmf. Those nice comment search results pages we’ve had for years, where the comments are grouped with their associated articles, and sorted nicely by date?

They may have to become a thing of the past. The queries that create those nice groupings are not very scaleable. I’ll have to see if there’s a better way to implement something like it, but with nearly 10 million comments in there the options are limited.

This might be another area that ends up handled by a Google custom search.
