Despite reasonable vigilance, the killings are starting to run together.

That’s what happens when there’s at least 2 officer involved shootings every day.

That’s what happens when there are at least one mass shooting every day.

That’s what happens when there are at least 1 mass murder every 2 weeks.

This is what happens when nothing is done to address the pervasive nature of weak firearms registration laws, closing loopholes, or addressing mental health issues relating to firearms.

This is what happens with a justice system gives carte blanche to law enforcement - enabling their killings as justified homicides because they feared for their lives (which before video, was taken as for granted, but now is seen as excessive force or intentional homicide where cops acted illegally or against policy/rule).

This is what happens when the NRA owns Congress and refuses to fix laws that are clearly ineffective/broken, and uses fear mongering to spur ever more sales.

Because what we need are still more guns, particularly in dark movie theaters where you get a free fire zone resulting in still more casualties than if no one but the shooter had them.

Basic requirements about licensing/insurance/training aren’t even considered, even though it might help reduce accidents, weed out those with mental illness, or reduce harms to themselves or others.
